Mr Ash Rohatgi
Upper gastrointestinal laparoscopic & general surgeon
MBBS FRCS
I am a highly skilled, respected, and well-regarded consultant upper gastrointestinal laparoscopic and general surgeon based in London. My areas of expertise encompass surgical procedures for oesophageal and gastric cancer, gallstones, gastric reflux, and hernias. Currently, I practice at the prestigious University College London Hospital and the Whipps Cross Hospital.
My medical journey began when I obtained my MBBS from the renowned Maulana Azad Medical College in India in 1993.
I further solidified my credentials by successfully completing a FRCS at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2005. During my specialist training and fellowship in upper gastrointestinal laparoscopic and general surgery in the South East Thames region, I had the opportunity to work at two prominent oesophagogastric cancer units. This experience allowed me to gain extensive knowledge and skills in treating various oesophageal and gastric conditions.
My notable interest lies in different types of resection for oesophagogastric cancer, which has established my reputation in this field. In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I actively engage in research, with over 25 publications and presentations to my credit, further contributing to my esteemed medical career. I take great pride in my proficiency, skill, and dedication, which have earned me a well-deserved reputation as a highly proficient and skilled consultant in my areas of expertise.
